Bryant Racing joins the AMSOIL Engine Masters Challenge as contingency sponsor in the crankshaft category.
Any serious engine builder knows that the backbone of an engine is the crankshaft—it turns the reciprocal motion of pistons into useable rotational motion. In high-performance engines, that job can’t be done by just any piece of steel, because while strength is a very important attribute, it is the precision and balance characteristics that allow it to survive. Moreover, if the reduction of friction isn’t made a priority, the engine may very well last, but it most certainly will not win. Since 1983, Bryant Racing has made precision racing crankshafts their specialty. They’re so serious about it, crankshafts are their only product.
Bryan uses only USA-made Timken billet steel for their cranks, and all manufacturing processes—including machining, heat treat, cryo, temper, lightening, knife-edging, rifle drilling, hand detailing, chamfering, ion plasma nitriding, balancing, and even REM isotropic superfinishing—are all done in-house. And while Bryant specializes in building custom billet steel crankshafts from your specifications, they do maintain a ready stock of many favorite makes and sizes, including 302 Ford, 351 Ford, small-block Mopar, Pontiac, small-block Chevy, big-block Ford, big-block Chevy, and big-block Mopar.
