The second-generation GM A-body (’73-77 models of Chevy Malibu/Laguna, Monte Carlo, Pontiac LeMans, Olds Cutlass, Buick Century/Regal) are coming into their own now as a choice for a high-performance Pro Touring hot rod. PHR’s own ’75 Laguna is living proof of that! More power and sticky tires place demands that the original chassis parts can’t withstand. Fatmans’ TIG-welded 1 3/8-inch DOM steel tubular control arms will handle that increased torque and cornering force with graphite impregnated urethane bushings. A high-strength and high-angle rod end with a Teflon-lined inner bearing race offers additional durability and noise reduction. You can also fine tune the rear axle pinion angle by altering the assembled length of the upper control arms.
