There have been plenty of quick muscle cars and a few truly fast ones, but with 662 hp the 2013 GT500  blurs the line between muscle car and supercar. Can it hit 200mph stone stock? Let's find out.

To find out if the claims are true, Carlos Lago of Ignition ran the GT500 through Motor Trend's instrumented testing gauntlet, including a theoretical top speed pull on the dyno. After that he heads to Kingman, Arizona where he hands the keys over to pro racer Randy Pobst  to see if Ford's 662-HP beast can break the elusive 200 mph barrier.

The sound of the exhaust is gorgeous, and the sight of the GT500 blowing by the camera at full steam is enough to give any hot rodder chills. This thing is pure badass.
