This pro touring Gremmy out of the Schwartz Performance stable is going to be one great hot rod.
This '73 AMC Gremlin is under construction at the Schwartz Performance garage, and is owned by Jeff Schwartz's friend, Mark Greenisen. We're chasing it for a feature in Popular Hot Rodding, but we couldn't wait to show you a sneak peek. Naturally, it will have a chassis of Schwartz design. (It's actually a modified Schwartz Mustang chassis, but you never know, an AMC-specific chassis could be in the works.) AMC fans will be pleased to know that the Gremmy will be AMC-powered by a 360 V-8 with Edelbrock heads, intake and carb. This is a no-nonsense track car, so the trans will be a simple and bulletproof Turbo 400. The brakes are by Baer, the shocks are RideTech triple-adjustables, and the tires are 275/35R18 in front and 335/30R18 in the rear. For seats, Greenisen chose C4 Corvette chairs. You gotta love those wheel flares! If you like what you see and want to contact Jeff at Schwartz Performance, call 815-206-2230, or log on to www.SchwartzPerformance.com
