In recent years, we've covered the Optima Ultimate Street Car Invitational (OUSCI) from a third-party perspective. We decided this year we'd do something different: actually compete in it. Specifically, PHR contributor Cole Quinnell told us he'd be up for driving out to OUSCI in his '66 Chevelle and documenting the whole thing. Trips like these are always full of interesting stuff you didn't plan on, so we thought it would be cool to cover the story. We got Cole paired up with photog Robert McGaffin, and the two of them will set out from Detroit in Cole's Chevelle on October 20. We'll have the travelog and results from the OUSCI in our March issue, but in the meantime you can follow along on Cole's blog right here.
