I’ve written previous blogs about Super Chevy’s Project American Heroes—the Chevelle project being built in that magazine that will be auctioned off to help fund the charitable Armed Forces Foundation. This non-profit organization helps veterans and their families, and is a great cause. It turns out they’ve also got a great event planned for the final NASCAR race of the season, which is in Homestead, Florida. The Armed Forced Foundation is holding a charity gambling night that will play host to some of your favorite NASCAR racers, Hollywood celebrities, and Members of Congress. (Ok, these last guys may not be some of your favorite people, but maybe it’s a chance to let ‘em know how you feel!)
The “Wagers For Warriors” event will be held November 17 (7pm) at the Biltmore (1200 Anastasia Ave., Coral Gables, Fla., 33134), and will feature poker, black jack, craps, roulette, music, dancing, and drinking. Entry into the poker contest is $1,000 per person, and $500 for spectators.
