HyperFiber is a revolutionary time saving material that allows you to make your own custom composite parts in minutes.

When we saw the press release on this stuff, it really hit close to home. Just last weekend, we were cutting pieces of fiberglass fabric and mixing critical doses of epoxy and resin to make repairs on an interior panel for the Laguna project car. It took several hours of preparation, and about 5 minutes of frantic mixing and application. And now this new product from Percy’s—called HyperFiber—sounds like a gift from above.

Percy’s claims no more mixing resins, hoping to get exactly the right ratio, trying to get just the right amount of resin on your material, or wasting resin that sets up in the can or drips off on the work surface. They claim HyperFiber has fiber and resin combined with a dry film on each side for the perfect ratio of material and resin every time.

Simply cut and form HyperFiber in its uncured state to the desired shape inside, out of the sun. Work time is said to be nearly unlimited.  Once you’re finished, expose the piece to sunlight or a UV light source, and HyperFiber will set up in a matter of minutes. Percy’s claims that with the material used in HyperFiber, you’ll also be able to form it around complex curves and angles without having wrinkles or needing to cut the material. HyperFiber is available with or without memory wires that hold the shape you put it in, and it’s also available in kits for popular applications.

We can’t wait to try out a roll for ourselves and compare it to conventional fiberglass/epoxy work. If you’re interested, give Percy’s a shout at 573-346-4409, or log on to www.percyshp.com.
