It’s just about that time of year when we board that jet plane and head for the Buckeye State for the grandest muscle car show of the summer: The Goodguys PPG Nationals. Every July, Goodguys uses this event as the crowning jewel for muscle car fans with the Street Machine Of The Year competition. And while it’s true that you can see plenty of muscle cars and g-Machines at most Goodguys events around the country, it is the Columbus event that represents the grand culmination of the year in muscle car building.
The event runs from Friday, July 10, through Sunday, July 12. I will be there roaming the event, checking out cars for future issues of PHR, and I’ll have photographer, Robert McGaffin, with me. We’ll have our staff shirts and hats on, and we’ll be zipping around in the PHR golf cart, so if you see us, please grab us and show us what you’ve got. Besides looking for features, we’re looking for cars to put in our Goodguys show coverage, so all you gotta do is ask us! I’ll also have some PHR decals that I’ll be handing out to some lucky readers that I meet.
