Santa Fe Springs, Calif. (May, 2009) - From split-bumper '70 Z28s to low-slung "Bandit" Trans Ams, second generation F-Bodies are storming the muscle car scene, thanks to a plentiful supply of inexpensive cars that are easily modified for serious performance. Now you can dramatically improve the overall handling, high-speed stability and tire adhesion of any 1970-81 Camaro, Firebird or Trans-Am with new Geometry-Corrected Upper and Lower Tubular A-Arms from Hotchkis.
Designed for easy bolt-on installation and track-dominating performance, Hotchkis Upper Tubular A-Arms increase caster for improved high speed stability and camber gain during turning, thereby increasing front tire traction for maximum driving performance. A 4130 chrome-moly offset billet cross shaft creates increased static negative camber without a large alignment shim stack, improving overall alignment and creating added clearance for headers. The arms are fabricated from fully TIG welded1.25-inch tubular steel, come with pre-installed upper ball joints, smooth operating Delrin bushings and Polyurethane droop stops.
You may recognize the red Camaro as Mary Pozzi's '73 model, a National Autocross Champion many times over. If you're a California dweller, you've probably seen her at the local autocross or Goodguys car show.
