The Windshield Wonder is a simple device that combines a microfiber cleaning cloth with a long handle and a pivoting head to (as the PR material says) make windshield cleaning fast and easy. I haven’t had a chance to check that claim out, but there have been many times when I’ve had to clear the windshield while driving—sometimes at a moment’s notice. I don’t know if Telebrands, the maker of the Windshield Wonder, intended it to be used while driving, but if I was faced with the choice of using it, or crashing, I’d pick using it.
As a bare-bones hot rodder, I don’t have air conditioning, or even a heater/defroster in most of my rides. That means rapid changes in weather conditions can cause the windshield to fog up quick. In the past, I’ll grab a rag or some old napkins, and wipe away what I can reach, but it always is limited to the reach of my arm, and leaves a streak. I’m going to pop this puppy in my glove box or console, and the next time I need it, I’ll have it.
The maker tells us they’re available at Walgreens, Wal-Mart, Target, and CVS for a retail price of $10.
