As the project’s principal sponsor and a long time supporter of “Chop Cut Rebuild,” OER contributed an extensive list of parts and accessories to make the 1969 Yenko Tribute Car possible.
Westminster, Calif. (August 6, 2009) – Original Equipment Reproduction (OER), an authorized manufacturer of GM parts and accessories, partnered with “Chop Cut Rebuild” and D&P Classic Chevy to debut a special 1969 Yenko Tribute Camaro as a special treat to journalists attending the company’s first annual media open house on July 30. To make an even bigger bang, OER also unveiled a 2010 SS/RS Camaro coupe, also built by D&P Chevy to reflect a modern version of the muscle car, with the styling cues of a classic Yenko.
As the project’s principal sponsor and a long time supporter of “Chop Cut Rebuild,” OER contributed an extensive list of parts and accessories to make the 1969 Yenko Tribute Car possible.
In addition to unveiling the Tribute Cars, OER CEO Jeff Leonard, also discussed aspects of the current state of the collector car hobby and made clear that current economic events would have no affect on the availability of parts and accessories through OER. In fact, Leonard informed the crowd of key industry journalists that OER is currently working on a new authorized Mopar line and has begun work on parts for the Challenger, Cuda, Duster, Dart, Charger and other popular models.
“As a faithful GM-Authorized parts and accessories manufacturer, we felt an emerging need to keep the media and the public informed of how we can help them get what they need,” said Jeff Leonard CEO of Original Equipment Reproduction, “The Media Open House was designed to assure consumers that OER will continue to provide much needed GM products to all enthusiasts, restorers and hobbyists. The fact that we could unveil some amazing project cars just in time to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the Yenko Camaro, was a bonus and we are truly grateful to ‘Chop Cut Rebuild’ and D&P Chevy for that. We hope that the viewers and readers of the outlets in attendance will benefit from what we discussed and shared at our event.”
