Get Your Fluids Cooler Easy

Easy Cooler Mount

Check out my power steering cooler mount.

I had some problems running my old power steering setup and decided to start over completely. A cooler may be overkill for the occasionally tracked street car but I didn't want to take any chances. Fluid boiling caused the pump to seize and let go half way through a Laguna Seca trackday, those are expensive! I wanted the cooler and all of the plumbing to be low profile so I ran probably 10 feet of line from the pump to the cooler. This alone helps to cool the fluid because of the increased surface area and fluid level.

I didn't want the cooler to interfere with the radiator or anything else so I made a really simple bracket that attached it to the radiator support infront of the radiator. It's a piece of 1X1/8-inch aluminum stock that I cut to length and bolted up. I shot it with some high-temp black paint before final installation to give it a stealth look.

The whole system uses Earls ProLite and power steering line with an Earl's cooler. I've never had a problem with overheating since!
