Fuel Filter Bracket

Liz's Fab Shop

This is a funky little fab project I did a couple years ago.

A while back I welded a pickup at the base of my gas tank because I didn't trust the factory pickup to give me the fuel I needed anymore. When I did that, I removed the factory pickup that had a filter sock on it. In order to keep from damaging the fuel pump, I added a filter between it and the tank.

I didn't like how the line wasn't parallel with the ground so I decided to make a bracket to hold it up. I used random pieces of steel tubing and flat stock that I had left-over from other projects.

The whole thing took me about an hour and looks really sharp. Little problem-solvers like this are the funnest part of car building.
