Where Are The Blue Ovals Hiding?

Ford Muscle Cars

We need some hot Fords to feature, so if you’ve got one, we’re begging you to drop us a line.

For some reason, it’s really hard to find high-quality Ford iron to feature in magazines. There were enough Fords built to where finding them shouldn’t be hard, but it is. If you go strictly by the numbers, it should be harder to find Mopars, Oldsmobiles, Pontiacs, and Buicks, but we seem to have no trouble scouting out those minorities. Simply put, in our quest to find truly serious street-driven muscle cars, the Ford guys have been coming up short lately.

The other day, I got a vitriolic letter castigating us on our lack of interest in Ford-powered street machines. The truth is, I was the tech editor for Muscle Mustangs & Fast Fords magazine for six years, so I love Fords. When someone levels that kind of criticism on me, I fight back hard. For the record, the complainer didn’t have anything of his own, nor did he know of anyone who did. Nevertheless, when we find killer Fords, most of the time they are Mustangs, and we feature them. But I’d really like to see more Fairlanes, Galaxies, Comets, Cougars, Marauders, Mavericks, and even Pintos.

If you’ve got a super-handling, high-powered Ford of any description, please let us know about it. Send info, send photos, send build-up shots—send whatever you have!
