Seeing this stuff really makes you wonder; what were they thinking?
Strolling the aisles of the the famous swap meet before the sun came out, I had somehow passed this magnificent hood. By the time the sun came up, there was a crowd around an item I had to see for myself.
It was a hood for a second-gen Camaro that had a scoop riveted on. Now this is very functional for a drag car with a tall intake and carburetor setup, but something about it just didn't sit well with me.
Across from this hood was another seriously scooped hood. Is it the movement toward fuel injection that are keeping the hoods more flat these days? Why are the super-scoops fading?
