Stock Car For Sale

Got an extra 70 grand laying around? You might want to buy this fully-functioning leftover.

I was about to throw the Kotula’s Christmas catalog away with the rest of the junk mail I got today, when I thumbed it through, and found this jewel. Through the miracle of NASCAR’s planned obsolescence, you too can own a real-life ex-stock car racer. In this case, it’s Greg Biffle’s 3M-sponsored Roush-Fenway Racing-built 2006 Ford Focus. Asking price for it is a firm $69,999, which includes shipping inside the United States.

This is the actual car that Biffle won with at Dover (2005), Darlington (2005), and Darlington again (2006). According to Biffle, who is quoted in the Kotula’s catalog: “Chassis 268 was one of my favorite cars in 2005 and 2006, along with chassis 239. Chassis 239 resides at my personal shop in Mooresville, NC, so this is a unique opportunity to own one of the other cars that I drove to a second-place finish in the points in 2005.”

The fine print does say that although this is a running car, it is not race ready, cannot be driven on public roads, and is for display purposes only. Drats. Guess I’m gonna have to save that 70 large for something else. Biffle also says he might autograph it for you too. Interested? The only way you can buy it is to call 800-931-3999, extension 16.
