Stuff floats across my desk all day, most of it junk. Toys, trinkets, cheese catalogs, you name it, I get it. But I’ve always got my radar on for anything Chevelle, and I hit the mother lode today. Most Chevelle buffs are already familiar with the heavy hitters of the industry, such as Year One and OPG, but the thing I like about Ground Up out of Meridian, CT, is that they specialize in ’64 – ’72 Chevelles. These guys are hard core, and have seemingly thought of every last doohickey and widget that ever came on Chevy’s famous midsize. This ’70-72 Chevelle roof panel (part No. RP-1418, $389.95) is a good example. This is a full replacement Chevelle roof panel that is an exact replacement for a rotted out original. Vinyl covered roofs are especially prone to rusting, so this is the perfect solution if your roof has fallen victim to the elements. I just wish they had one for my ’68, because as an ex-vinyl roof car, it’s starting to bubble up in a few places.
