The new RidePro e2 control system has always had the option of using height sensors. The addition of height sensors allows the computer to measure the actual height of the vehicle, versus using air pressure to estimate the height of the vehicle. Due to varying weight and suspension bind using air pressure alone can be off some.
Until now a rotary hall effect sensor had to be mounted to the frame, using linkage to attach it to the suspension. On some vehicles, finding the right spot for the sensor and making sure that it stays within range can be difficult and time consuming. So we have designed a new Shockwave that actually has an infrared sensor built inside of it. This will save approximately 6-8 hours of install time and eliminate the possibility of installation error. Now if a vehicle is using a convention air spring with external shock, you will still need to mount a rotary sensor.
