Dynatek System Emulates IDA Look

Retro Fuel Injection

Looking for an induction system for your Chevy-powered street machine? Try the Classic Fuel Injection from Dynatek Racing.

This retro-modern fuel injection combines the all visual impact of 48mm IDA downdraft carbs with driveability and performance. According to Dynatek, their new Classic Fuel Injection provides instant starting regardless of weather conditions. Other benefits include crisp throttle response, and fuel mileage in line with a 48mm downdraft set up.

The Classic Fuel Injection combines nostalgic looks with modern technology. According to Dynatek, the best part about this retro-modern injection system is the self-learn (closed-loop) capability that can perform the majority of the required tuning all by itself.

From an airflow standpoint, the new Classic Fuel Injection outflows its 48mm carbureted counterpart by 90 cfm per cylinder, for a total airflow improvement of just over 720 cfm. Dynatek’s dyno testing on a 355 Chevy demonstrated that the new Classic Fuel Injection puts this additional airflow to good use by out-powering carbureted versions throughout the rev range. Compared to a four-barrel carb with a single-plane intake (admittedly, not the comparison we’d make at PHR, which is a dual-plane), the new Classic Fuel Injection makes more power everywhere. Dynatek has Classic Fuel Injection systems for 302, 351, FE, big-block Chevy (shown), and even 429/460 applications capable of supporting over 750 horsepower. Dynatek says they’ll soon release systems for the LS1/LS2, and 5.7L/6.1L Dodge Hemi applications.
