Get The Black Paint Back To New-Condition

License Plate Restoration

I just purchased a 1966 Mustang, and was lucky enough to get the original black and gold plates. Only problem is, the plates look like a kindergartener  finger-painted the letters yellow.

There are many companies who specialize in restoring old plates with the correct colors and reflectiveness if true to the year. I have never personally used any of them, but the photographs on the website look pretty impressive.

They all seem to be in the $75-$100 price range per plate, so being confident that the company will do a good job and not leave you plateless for too long is important to me.

I would really like to have some comments on this blog to give me and the readers some direction.

Any suggestions?
