The Mustang's New Heart

PHR Project Street Fighter

It has come time to choose an engine for the project 1966 Mustang.

I am looking to build something high-revving but with a quality idle. Since this is a street car, I would like for it to be perfectly comfortable sitting in traffic for extended periods in time and not have too much trouble starting up in the morning.
Too, because this is a fighter, it needs to pack some punch. I am thinking of a 400+ cubic inch Windsor motor with aluminum heads, solid roller cam, a stout rotating assembly, and a nice Holley carb to top it off. This combination is pretty familiar to me, minus the high-cube count. The Camaro motor is similarly build but limited at 350ci. I hope to earn at least 450 horsepower at the wheels on the Mustang.

This car will be wicked.
