Has there ever been another store, or type of store, with people knowing less about the products they are selling than a chain auto parts store?
It seems like everytime I go to to get anything from coolant to spark plugs, there is always a problem. So you walk up to the counter and ask for a set of spark plugs. The first question they ask you is what year vehicle you have. This is a problem because, come on, who uses the factory plugs anymore? We need something special, different heat range, longer reach... So the kid behind the computer manages to find your vehicle and offers you a part number. You suggest he go fetch it and he comes back with 5 spark plugs. This has happened to me several times. What on earth makes them think it's a good idea to stock 5 spark plugs. Some 4-cylinder guy going to buy an extra one?
Well, I am on my way to the parts store... wish me luck!
