Replacing your entire car's cardio-vascular system is a great way to freshen up your older car. Imagine everything working!
A couple years ago, I ripped every wire out of my car to replace it with the model specific kit from American Autowire. There was quite a rats nest of wires when I got the car, and adding electrical components to it was probably not the best idea, but at the time I didn’t know what else I could do.
I was working at Dominator Street Rods of northern California, and a rep from American Autowire came in with some samples and I ordered my kit then and there. I wanted to use some special supplies to put it together so I ordered heat shrink tubing, non-insolated connectors, and a factory GM type wire loom. The whole project took about 2 full 8-hour days, and could have taken less time if I wasn’t so picky but that’s just how I am.
I felt bad that my second-generation Camaro friends couldn’t get the same kit but now that is not the case!
